Informed by research and developed by preschool educators and child development experts, LeafSpring School’s proprietary curriculum, PLAYWORKS©, focuses on all aspects of a child’s growth, including their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Child-led, Teacher-guided
Within small group settings, our educators nurture each child’s individual development while providing appropriate challenges through play-based learning. By meeting children at their own pace, we encourage them to explore reading, writing, art, math, science, social science, and leadership skills through interest-driven activities. Our thoughtfully designed environment inspires learning through a balance of daily activities, from free play in learning centers to teacher-facilitated, discovery-based experiences.
Standards of Learning
PLAYWORKS© establishes age-specific Standards of Learning that form the foundation for the theme-based learning experiences created by teachers. Each child’s progress is continuously assessed, with instruction tailored to meet their individual needs and foster growth. Semi-annual developmental evaluations and family-teacher conferences offer families support and practical suggestions for at-home learning, helping children reach their full potential.
